Clearlla: A Multi-Platform Downloader Beyond TikTok

ClearTik does one job: it takes a public TikTok link and returns the best version of the video, photos, or audio that the source makes available. We keep it narrow on purpose. A tool that only has to understand one platform is easier to keep reliable and easier to explain honestly.

That focus has a downside. Readers regularly ask us what to do with a link from Reddit, Pinterest, or another site, and the honest answer is that ClearTik is not built for those. This article explains a separate project that is, what it can and cannot do today, and how to decide which tool fits your link.

What Clearlla is

Clearlla is a separate, browser-based downloader designed for a range of platforms beyond TikTok. Like ClearTik, it runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install and no account to create. You paste a public link, it detects which platform the link belongs to, and it shows you what media it can save.

It is not a replacement for ClearTik if all you ever download is TikTok. It is the tool to reach for when the link in your clipboard comes from somewhere else.

How platform support works

The most useful thing to understand about any multi-platform downloader is that support is never uniform. Each site serves media differently, changes its layout on its own schedule, and restricts some content types more than others. Clearlla is open about this and labels each platform with a status.

Check the list before you assume

Statuses change as platforms change, so the labels above are a snapshot rather than a promise. Before relying on a particular site, look at the current platform list and the notes on that platform's page. Even on a Supported platform, private posts, deleted posts, and anything that needs a login to view will not work, for the same reasons explained in our guide to private TikTok videos.

Which tool should you use?

• The link is from TikTok: use ClearTik. It is tuned for TikTok links, slideshows, and audio.
• The link is from another platform: check whether that platform is listed on Clearlla and what its status is.
• The platform is Limited or In development: read the platform notes first, or wait until support improves.

Use downloaded content responsibly

Whichever tool you use, the same rule applies. Save content you created, content you have permission to use, or content you have a legitimate personal reason to keep, and credit creators if you share it. Our article on whether downloading TikTok videos is legal covers the general principles, which apply across platforms.
